Business Security


  • Update your devices regularly when new updates are issued (operating systems, apps, and software)
  • Implement complex, unique passwords that include a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Set a calendar reminder to change your passwords every 45-60 days
  • Install and maintain the latest versions of anti-virus and anti-malware software to all devices possible
  • Be mindful of non-work-related websites that could download viruses and malware on business devices


  • Be mindful of suspicious emails, misspelled words/names, and unexpected links and/or attachments
  • Verify with the sender any attachments or links before opening
  • Delete any spam or fake emails and then empty your delete or trash file

Online Banking:

  • Monitor and limit who has access to the online banking accounts and be aware of each user’s allowed privileges
  • Monitor banking activity to watch for suspicious activity
  • Do not allow employees to leave online banking logged in on devices

Remote Deposit Capture:

  • Limit who can utilize the remote deposit capture function
  • Monitor banking activity to watch for suspicious activity
  • Monitor and verify the activity on your accounts to ensure accuracy
