Online Safety Made Simple
Easy-to-follow tips for staying secure while using digital tools.
Think before you click
Be aware that scammers use harmful links in emails, plant pop-up windows on legitimate websites or create fake versions or popular sites to steal information.
Use a Password Manager
A password manager safely stores all your passwords in one place. It helps you create strong, unique ones — and you only need to remember one.
Anti-virus & anti-spyware software
Protect business and personal devices from malicious programs that may be hiding in emails, documents or websites.
Software updates
Regularly check for software updates to ensure you're running the latest version to keep your data secure.
Personal Information
Do not share private data, PINs or passwords unless you've verified who you're dealing with and why they need it.
New computer
Use a "wipe" utility program on your old computer to remove all personal information.

Tips for Using Zelle
Only send money to people
and businesses you know and trust
It’s important to only use Zelle® to send money to people and businesses you know and trust who have an eligible account at a participating U.S. financial institution. Keep in mind that once you send a payment, you most likely can’t get it back if something goes wrong.
Before you “send it now,” ask yourself:
- How well do I really know the person or business I am sending money to?
- How certain am I that I will receive what I’m paying for?
